Eight Groups Battle for Knock-Out Stage Berths
Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Manchester City Lead the Way
The group stage of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League is nearing its conclusion, with eight groups of four teams battling for a spot in the knock-out phase. The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, while the third-place teams will drop down to the UEFA Europa League.
Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City have all been impressive in the group stage so far, winning all three of their matches and sitting atop their respective groups. Other teams in contention for a place in the knock-out stage include Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
The final round of group stage matches will be played on December 12-13, with several key matches still to come. Barcelona will host Bayern Munich in a battle for top spot in Group C, while Manchester City will travel to RB Leipzig needing a win to secure first place in Group G.
The draw for the round of 16 will take place on December 15, with the first legs of the ties to be played on February 14-15 and 21-22. The second legs will be played on March 7-8 and 14-15.
